Philosophy
We view investments in suitable fixed income securities as a source of stable growth and income. Our goal is to attempt to create a portfolio of diversified securities to maximize total return while mitigating risk. Focus is placed on capital and principal stability and the generation of tax-efficient current income.
Process
The fixed income investment process is based on a review of individual client objectives, liquidity needs, tax considerations and risk tolerance.
Portfolios are constructed from but not limited to the following fixed income instruments:
- Municipal bonds
- U.S. Treasuries
- Agency bonds
- Corporate bonds
- Mortgage backed bonds
- Convertible bonds
- Preferred stocks
- Cash equivalents
Overbrook's approach to fixed income investing is not based on short term interest rate cycle fluctuations.
